Equal Rights
I'm arguing about Equal Rights in America because I think It's important. Why Is It Important? Well I'm going to explain to you why in this argument.
In America police officers are more aggressive towards darker skinned people, here are some examples. A cop shot a dark skinned male when he was reaching for his license, he was shot and killed by a Minnesota Cop at a Traffic Stop. Also a 12 year old boy by the name of Tamir Rice was shot by a police officer at Cudell Recreation Center In Cleveland, Ohio, November 2014
If we are all equal towards all races, America would be a safer and better place, also If we stop saying negative things about races there won’t be as many fights online and In reality.
When you're a baby we're kind to each and not saying "Oh this skin colour Is dangerous, I better stay away!” Babies are kinder than us because they don't know what hatred and racism ls. And If people stop being racist the newer generation would be better than this current one.
I do think most dark skinned people In America get triggered easily, so there Is a reason why people are more cautious around darker skinned people.
In conclusion equal rights are very Important as I have already stated, It doesn’t matter what the colour of your skin Is everybody should be treated equally. What would you do to stop all of this? I hope you agree with me and I have persuaded you why equal rights are important in many ways.

Shared Writing
In the far north in Australia a strong man named Mathu was fishing for some Blue Morwong. (Queen Snapper) But after half an hour of fishing a crocodile came to the fishing area he was at.
SNAP! The crocodile broke the engine with Its victorious teeth. “HELP!” Mathu shouted but there was no use he was at a lake where nobody fishes. He starts sprinting around the boat to find something useful. He trips over the fishing net *SPLASH!* His paddles fall into the lake. “WHY ME?!?”
There was only one thing to do… Get his spear and swim. *SPLASH* He Jumped Into the lake and threw the spear at the Crocodile. He nearly missed it. The crocodile was still alive but It was slower, he had an advantage because he was an Olympic Swimmer. Mathu got to shore pulling himself up weakly while puffing heavily. He looked at his boat with terror. He brought some fish while he was swimming away from the crocodile.
This term we have been looking at ways to make our writing more interesting for the reader.
We have used the following criteria to guide us:
- Changing the word order of a sentence
- Using literary devices such as metaphor, simile, alliteration, onomatopoeia and personification
- Using specific verbs and adjectives
- Using show, don’t tell techniques
- Using different sentence beginnings and lengths
Here are some examples of my writing this term.
Show Don't Tell - Emotions
Joy - My hands flung in the air while I skip around with a smile on my face hugging my sister grabbing my new present I got for my birthday.
Angry - My face was so red and my arms were crossed. I was so frustrated and I was stomping around and kicking everything.
Sad - I was In tears because my dad told me our cat died. my eyes were red and I had a huge frown on my face, I replied In a soft voice “I miss her so much already!”
Writing To Music
The Jungle
Woosh! I sprinted through the bushes and finally found a beehive that contains honey. I swiftly grabbed the beehive. Suddenly bees flew out of It and chased me through the jungle. I dived into the lake but they were Killer Bees. I got stung numerous times. After some time a camper found me floating on top of the lake so he swam over to me and grabbed me. He took me to his camping ground and called 111.
The Boy
Bang! The gates slammed behind Brendan, while he zipped up his jacket and sat down on the bench with his hand on his head. He stood up and walked very slowly with his arms hanging low. He looked up and spotted a kid walking home so he tried to hide behind a wall but the kid saw him. “Bye Mud eater! HAHAHA” Brendan replied and said “Hey! Don’t call me that Melvin” Melvin looked back at Brendan “Don’t tell me what to do mud boy” He shouted “Just because I fell In the mud doesn’t mean you have to call me that” Melvin ran over to him and said “Be quiet or else” He said “Or else what” Melvin was about to swing a punch at him but Brendan’s brother came around the corner. “HEY BACK OFF!” Ryan yelled furiously at Melvin “You’re lucky mud boy” And then Melvin sprinted away.
Viking Girl
“AHH, ALL I GOT FOR HALLOWEEN WAS FRUIT!” As I slammed my door, I was frustrated, annoyed and exhausted all at the same time. I started to think of a way to get all my brothers delicious candy, “Darling?” Mum said opening my door slowly, she saw me ripping my costume apart “GO AWAY! I’M NEVER GOING TRICK OR TREATING AGAIN!” I shout as I put the remaining pieces of my viking costume on my barbies, I walked over to my mirror and saw myself. I looked very tired so I went to bed.
